in conjunction with American International Institute of Polygraph BASIC and CONTINUING EDUCATION with International Accreditation from American Polygraph Association ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ FACULTY Any school is only as good as its faculty. All instructors from American International Institute of Polygraph and AIIP (SA) lecturing on polygraph subjects and in polygraph techniques are practising polygraph professionals with outstanding credentials. Other professionally qualified instructors of high academic qualification provide instruction in psychology, physiology, research and law.
Charles E. Slupski, Director and Primary Instructor for polygraph. A graduate of the US Army Polygraph School and former instructor at the USA Department of Defense Polygraph Institute (DoDPI), Mr Slupski has been a polygraph examiner since 1983 and retired from the US Army Criminal Investigations Command in 1996. He conducted polygraph examinations for the Arizona Department of Corrections before taking an instructor position and subsequently becoming the Director of Argenbright International Institute of Polygraph. Mr Slupski's academic accomplishments include Master of Science degrees in Criminal Justice and Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in Law Enforcement. He is a member of the American Polygraph Association, the American Association of Police Polygraphists and the Georgia Polygraph Association.
Estelle Dreyer, Director of AIIP (SA) is the only polygraphist in SA who holds a degree in Psychophysiology. She has fifteen years practical experience in polygraph testing in SA and is qualified in specialised Sex Offender Testing. Estelle is a member of the American Polygraph Association and a founder member of the South African Professional Polygraph Association.
AIIP (SA) reserves the right to use the services of additional professionals to serve as instructors so that their varying expertise can add to the educational process. All instructors making presentations at AIIP meet or exceed the minimum qualifications established by the APA. These primary instructors and guest instructors for polygraph science subjects are selected based on their education, training, knowledge, experience and instructional delivery abilities.
CODE OF ETHICS AND CODE OF GOOD PRACTICE FOR POLYGRAPH TESTING While not yet a lawfully imposed requirement prior to practising Forensic Psychophysiology in South Africa, it may soon be compulsory for all polygraphists practising in South Africa to sign a Code of Ethics and Code of Good Practice. Following these codes will enhance the credibility of our students and distinguish them from polygraphists who simply do not pride themselves in genuine integrity and qualified skill to practise with distinction and excellence.

After a total of three absences, without approval, the student may be dismissed.
CONDUCT The American International Institute of Polygraph and AIIP (SA) expect their students to conduct themselves in a professional manner throughout the course. Acts of dishonesty and questionable morals are grounds for dismissal. The Institute Director will make the final decision. Students will be notified in writing of any action taken by the Director.
TARDINESS Time lost due to late arrivals or early departures will be appropriately recorded in the attendance records. There will be no dismissal for tardiness if a reasonable explanation is offered. After three incidents of unexplained tardiness, the student may be dismissed.

A record of the students' examination results is kept on file, and those records will include individual student class standing. The grading system used by the American International Institute of Polygraph and AIIP (SA) consists of percentages between 0% and 100%. Grades below 75% will be considered unsatisfactory, and repeat examinations to improve such grades will be given at the end of a one-week probation, unless the Institute Director extends that time, in writing.
